Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Playa del Carmen is located in the Mexican Caribbean coast, just 40 miles (60 kms.) south of Cancun, Mexico. The town of Playa del Carmen hugs the coast along blue Caribbean water and fine white sand.
The city of Playa del Carmen is divided into several sections. Avenida Quinta, "Fifth Avenue", is a pedestrian only street running paralel to the beach north from the central plaza. Fifth Avenue is the heart of Playa del Carmen's cultural life, and is lined with restaurants, shops and hotels. The norther end of Fifth Avenue is called the "New Fifth". This is an upscale area with new construction, brick lined streets and a more European flavor.
The Playacar Resort is south of Playa del Carmen's main square. This large private gated community is divited into two sectsions, Playacar Phase I, which is older closer to Playa del Carmen, and close to the beach. Playacar Phase II makes up most of Playacar and is where most homes for sale, vacation rentals homes, and larger hotels are located.

La Cueva del Chango
A 2 minute walk from Natz Ti Ha Condominiums down a shady jungle path leads to La Cueva del Chango. Famous for its delicious and healthy entrees, La Cueva del Chango has excellent cappuccino, crepes, fresh juice, and daily lunch and dinner specials. The restaurant is set in a tropical garden, and a stream runs through the center. La Cueva del Chango is a popular meeting spot for Playa del Carmen ex-pats and trendsetters. Casa del Agua
This Swiss run bistro offers excellent German, Swiss and Italian dishes, in a chic and romantic atmosphere. The desserts are excellent, and so is the people watching. The restaurant is located at Avenida 5 at Calle 2.
Babe's Noodles and Bar
Babe's is a Swedish owned restaurant and bar with specials ranging from Thai noodles to meatballs, and a mixed European kitchen. The bar serves mojitos, blueberry daiquiris, margaritas, smoothies and juices. Everything is freshly prepared at the time you order. Apasionado
If you like Jazz, don't miss the live music at Apasionado. This second story bar and restaurant has European-style food and a view of 5th Avenue. You can find Apasionado above the Zoo Cafe on 5th Avenue between 12th and 14th.
Shangri-La Caribe Hotel
The Shangri-La Caribe Hotel is directly across from Natz Ti Ha Condominiums. The hotel has a popular breakfast buffet, bar, and two restaurants which are open to the public.
